perfect shot, colors, contrast details and frame my friend!! I would turn my camera just a bit to take all the rock in front of me and the small part you missed of the second one on the right of your pic.. but nevertheless it is a beauty!
You really photographed this location well when you visited. Looking back at the images you shot here I can't say I have noticed one negative aspect. So I guess what I am trying to say is that you pumped out another gem, but really how could you not at this place?
Thanks Peter! This one I caught within the moments of shooting "Coyote Sunset" I have on here. I have a tendency to race around and try different compositions when the light is good. Like you said, it is difficult to not get good images in a place like this. So much to offer. Cant wait to go back. Next spring maybe?
I always do that when the light is good. I am actually thinking about heading up there around April. It would be cool to get a few people from here to have a "dev meet" sorta thing up there...Or in your case, down there.
This is Cottonwood Cove in Coyote Buttes South. On the same route to White pocket if you take the Paw Hole Route in. Paw Hole, Cottonwood Cove and White Pocket are all amazing Places right in the same area. Paw Hole being the smaller of the three and is worth a quick shoot. The other two are full of photo ops. You don't need a permit to enter white pocket, the other two you do unfortunately. Since these places are relatively small you will be able to get a good scouting run during the day before the light gets good. I would like to point out specific places in these areas what are more interesting then others but that would be difficult. They are loaded with beautiful geology. Have fun and get some good shots. The sandy road can be fun so haul ass!
No man.. Kinda sucks. Been shooting locally a bit but thats about it. I am however planning to head down to the sierras to see Nolan this winter. Spend some more time in Death Valley too maybe. We'll see. Good to hear from you.
