Well aren't you cool photographing the eclipse! I dig it. I see another composition from this place with more "umph" if you will. But, I really like how the mountains just peak out in the distance. I was pissed I had to work this morning. By the time it was at it's best you could barely see it anyways. Still saw it with my eyes so I'll just have to plan for three years down the road.

Ahh, bummer. We were barely able to catch it. It went behind clouds just after this shot. Someone else was at the bristlecones this morning you say? Got a link? I'd like to check it out.

At least you were out shooting. I was filling lazy peoples online orders for a baby store haha. I didn't see another image from there, just an idea for a different comp from this particular frame. Maybe shooting slightly higher up to get the mountains a little more prominent.

Yeah. I was as high as I could get. I was telephoto-ing in @ 105mm, the max of my lens kit. A drop off was just behind me. I do like the mountains as well. One of the characteristics I like the most about this image as well.

Well, just as the moon reached totality it went behind clouds here too. I was looking forward to the red moon but no-go. First clouds we have had for weeks and came in at just the right time! Go figure. haha Thanks Will!

I've just heard, on the news, that the only place in the UK that saw it was in the Orkneys :D
