Absolutely beautiful capture. I love the softness of the color of the sky to the contrast of the darks and lights of the landscape.

Nice shot, thats one amazing mountain. I am not sure if the foreground adds to or detracts from the shot...it certainly competes for the eye. I would be curious what a shot of just the mountain itself would look like.

Love the light on the mountain, really pretty colour too. I'm not liking the foreground though. Bit messy for my liking and feels to heavy on the right, that tree isn't framing the shot in my opinion, instead it's pulling my eyes away from the mountain. It would work better if the mountain was more to the left of the frame, that way you have good thirds with either side of the frame being filled by subject.

What you wrote is exactly the way I feel about the image. My other comps are useless due to focus ring being bumped after my first image. Its too bad. I appreciate your perspective.

Have you thought about cropping the tree and the foreground? That would bring you a lot closer to the mountain and possibly tidy up the composition. This is cropped already though so I don't know how much more you could go..

I can bring it in tighter but it will amputate some of the forground trees. I have been tinkering with the crop tool for some time now. Cant seem to get it where I would like it.

I would have walked forwards about 5m personally. But still...great light (if you ignore the FG).
